Operation Radar

An intelligence led operation targeting Rogue Traders, distraction burglars and metal/fuel thefts.

The main reports are of diesel/oil thefts, mainly from industry and farms, bogus charity collections at the door and bogus household checks on utilities.

 

Main crimes recently consist of:

Fakenham:

Criminal damage.
Cycle theft x 2.
Vehicle damage x 2.
Shed burglary x 2.

Holt:

Arson (garden Shed) x 2.

Stibbard:

Wood Norton road, criminal damage around 20.15 hrs on 5th Sept. A wing mirror of a car was deliberately broken off and thrown onto the roof of the village hall. Also, criminal damage on Guist Bottom Road between 1100hrs on 5th and 1100hrs on 7th September, a wooden garden chair was stolen from a front garden and later found smashed.

 

Cycle theft in UK between January and August this year is 1,327; 194 in Great Yarmouth and 69 in North Norfolk.
