Is there a new approach to running village fund raising events?
Play area, Church, Village Hall, Community Orchard they all have need of ongoing fund raising. Would it be better to think afresh how we go about raising money in the village?
Come along to the village hall on January 17th at 1930 hrs to help explore a new approach.
This is not another ‘committee’! It’s about people who like doing things and not sitting in meetings talking about them.
We want your ideas not your on going commitment ,necessarily. This is not an event aimed at getting more volunteers.
Optic Fibre Broadband update (updated 3rd May 2017)
The latest advancement in broadband technology, fibre optic broadband is promising super-fast speeds for all of your daily internet needs. Its name comes from the use of plastic or glass cables, which allow for faster data transfer compared to the standard copper wires which are used in regular broadband connections.
Fibre optic broadband is now available to us in Wood Norton and by buying into an optic fibre broadband deal you would be able to achieve download and upload speeds many time fast than we can currently get.
Do I need to pay more just to get a faster speed? If you currently have no problem with your internet and only use it for the occasional email or browsing the web then the 4mb speeds you can get through the normal copper wire should be sufficient.
If you do want to go over to fibre optic then do use one of the well known comparison sites rather than just going to your current supplier. Links to a few of these site below.
