As residents of our extremely attractive village, members of the Parish Council feel strongly about its environment and both want to preserve what makes it special, as well as to improve its amenities and promote the welfare of its inhabitants.
As a parish councillor, you would help in the decision-making process – for example for planning applications; discuss matters of local concern and consider ways in which the community can be supported. The only requirement is your interest in, and concern for, the community – and a small commitment of time (we meet every 6 weeks for a couple of hours).
At the forthcoming elections in May all the current team must stand down, thus providing an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a councillor.
